A Place to Hear Yourself Again: Introducing The Pivot Within App

Sometimes you don’t know what you’re feeling until someone asks the right question. You might have spent the whole day feeling irritated, distracted, or unusually quiet, without knowing why. Then something makes you stop, and you realize a conversation is still bothering you. Or you agreed to something you didn’t want to do. Or you’ve been saying you’re fine because you haven’t had a moment to consider another answer.
Those moments are part of why I created The Pivot Within app.
I wanted there to be somewhere you could go when you needed a little room to think. Somewhere you could write an honest answer without worrying about making it sound better. A place to notice what is happening in your life and bring it before God, even when you aren’t sure what to say yet.
You Don’t Need Another Thing to Keep Up With
Most of us already have enough things asking for our attention. Even something meant to help can become one more task we feel behind on.
My hope for The Pivot Within app is that you’ll open it because it helps you understand something about your day. Maybe you use it with your morning coffee. Maybe you come back in the evening after a conversation you can’t stop thinking about. Some days you might write a few sentences. Other days, a question might stay with you while you go about your life.
You don’t have to have a big realization every time. Sometimes the useful part is finally admitting, “That hurt more than I wanted to acknowledge,” or, “I really enjoyed that. I’d like to make more time for it.”
What You’ll Find When You Open It
The Pivot Within app brings together daily reflections, faith based encouragement, and a personal journal. Each part gives you another way to think about what you’re noticing.
Inside, you’ll find:
A daily reflection to help you look more closely at your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Questions that give you a starting point when a blank journal page feels difficult.
A word from Paulette connected to that day’s reflection.
Faith based encouragement to bring into your prayer time.
A place to save your writing and return to earlier entries.
The daily content changes, including the encouragement alongside the reflection. You can come back to a new starting point while continuing to explore something that has been on your mind.
You Can Write the Answer You Actually Have
There’s a difference between explaining something to another person and admitting it to yourself. In a conversation, you might immediately add, “But I know they didn’t mean it,” or, “It’s probably just me.”
When you’re writing, you can give the first thought a little time before explaining it away.
You might write that you’re frustrated and realize, a few sentences later, that you felt dismissed. You might notice that a decision has been weighing on you because you’ve been trying to choose the answer someone else will approve of. Or you might discover that something small brought you more peace than you expected.
You don’t need good grammar or a complete story. You can begin with whatever is true enough to put into words today.
Your Reflections Don’t Have to Disappear When You Close the App
Once you create an email account, you can save your reflections and return to them when you sign in again. You don’t need a ChatGPT account to use The Pivot Within.
Having your writing in one place gives you a way to look back. A question that felt impossible to answer last month may feel a little clearer now. You might notice a concern you keep circling back to, or remember a choice you felt good about and want to make again.
Looking back can also help you see progress you would otherwise overlook. Maybe you said what you needed this time. Maybe you gave yourself a moment before agreeing. Those are things worth remembering, even if they didn’t feel remarkable when they happened.
There’s Room for Faith and Unfinished Thoughts
You don’t have to feel especially hopeful to spend a few minutes with God. You can be confused, disappointed, grateful, angry, or some combination you haven’t sorted out.
The faith based encouragement in The Pivot Within is there to support that conversation. A reflection might help you find the words for a prayer you’ve been struggling to begin.
“God, I keep saying this doesn’t bother me, but it does.”
“I don’t know what I need right now. Help me pay attention.”
You can start there. You don’t have to turn an honest prayer into a polished one.
You’re Welcome Even If You Aren’t Looking for Coaching
You can use The Pivot Within independently of my coaching programs. You don’t have to join a cohort or book a session to make use of the reflections.
Maybe you already enjoy journaling and would like a little direction. Maybe you’ve tried it before but never knew what to write. Or perhaps you simply want somewhere to pause and think through your day.
This is a tool for reflection and personal growth. It doesn’t replace therapy or mental health care, and it doesn’t require you to figure everything out on your own.
Start With Today
If you’d like to try it,open The Pivot Within here and create your email account.
Read today’s reflection. Take your time with the question. Write what comes to mind, even if your answer is only a sentence, and save it if you’d like to return to it.
You may discover something you want to think about more. You may simply feel relieved to have put a thought into words. Either is a good reason to make a little room for yourself today.
